ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.171 of 2013 pending on the file of the respondent police within a time frame as prescribed by this Court.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent, after completing the investigation in Crime No.171 of 2013, has laid the final report dated 10.01.2014 as 'Mistake of Fact'.
3. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that RCS notice was not served on the petitioner/defacto complainant either by the respondent police or from the concerned Court.
4. Recording the submissions made on either sides, the respondent is directed to serve RCS notice on the petitioner/defacto complainant and the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition, if so advised before the jurisdictional Court.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
