*********** [Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J] The petitioner is the wife of one Mr.Palpandi, aged about 32 years. He has been found missing from 25.01.2014 onwards. In this connection, a case has been registered in Crime No.169 of 2014 and the same is under investigation. But, so far Mr.Palpandi has not been secured, is her grievance.
2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and perused the records carefully.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that under investigation, a dead body was found and it was suspected that it might be the dead body of Mr.Palpandi. In this connection, bones have been sent for superimposition examination and the results are awaited. The investigation is in progress. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner suspected the seventh respondent as Mr.Palpandi was working under the seventh respondent.
5.In our considered view, if the petitioner has got any grievance regarding the investigation, the remedy for her lies elsewhere. So far as this Habeas Corpus Petition is concerned, since it has been stated that Mr.Palpandi has not been detained illegally by anybody and the investigation is in the right direction, we find no scope to issue any direction in this matter. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, leaving it open for the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.
