ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue payment of pension order to the petitioner and facilitate him to file the same along with other employees during the same process of sanctioning pension under "PGB (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2018", since the respondent Bank is under the process of merger and becomes "Tamil Nadu Grama Bank" with effect from 01.04.2019 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he retired from service in the respondent Bank on 31.01.2011, the application form for grant of pension was issued by the respondents on 20.01.2019 and he submitted the same on 24.01.2019, but the list does not carry his name. Therefore, once again, the petitioner forwarded his requisition to the first respondent on 12.03.2019 to issue pension payment order. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents on merits within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.03.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
