Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.no.3577/2009/A1 dt 12.03.2020, insofar as demoting the petitioner from the post of Public Relations Officer to the post Superintendent and quash the same.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents. 2.By the impugned order, dated 12.03.2020, the petitioner herein was reverted from the post of Public Relation Officer to the post of Superintendent.

3.While, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that re-posting of the petitioner from the post of Public Relation Officer to the post of Superintendent would amount to reverting him to a lower post, the learned Standing counsel for the respondent would submit that it is a transfer simpliciter. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.5939 of 2020 4.This Court does not intend go into the submissions made by the respective counsels, for the reason that, pending the writ petition, the first respondent herein had cancelled the impugned order, dated 12.03.2020. While that being so, the grievance of the petitioner has been met and no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition. It is made clear that the first respondent herein shall not quote the impugned proceedings or to the impugned order, in future, for denying any service benefits that the petitioner may be entitled to.

5.This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
