Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents not to transfer the petitioner's husband namely Veeriah (life convict) from Central Prison, Madurai to Central Prision, Trichy on the basis of the representation dated 11.03.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with a prayer to retain her husband, Veeraiah, a life convict, in Central Prison, Madurai, where he is now lodged.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate submits that the said convict was earlier lodged in Central Prison, Trichy and on a request made by the Prisoner, he was transferred to Madurai for a period of three months and now the Superintendent of Prison, Madurai has made a request to his counter part in Trichy that the prisoner Veeriah might be retained at Madurai. The decision on this request has to be taken by the Inspector General of Prisons and the matter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
is pending for his consideration. She further added that the Inspector General of Prison based on the recommendation may take a decision favorably to the recommendation made by the Superintendent of Prison, Madurai, then that will answer the present prayer as well.
4. The said statement made by the learned Government Advocate is recorded.
For the present, this petition is premature and the petitioner may wait for the decision of the Inspector General of Police. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
