ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3 and 4.
2. The petitioner seeks for issuance of passport on the basis of the petition mentioned application. It appears that another lady, by name, Syed Ali Fathima, W/o.Rasool had furnished the particulars that tally with that of the writ petitioner and obtained a passport in the name of the writ petitioner. It is further seen
that the petitioner has given complaint in that regard. Therefore, in the very nature of things, the matter calls for investigation.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the police have already gone into the matter. There was also a visit by the Police and personal enquiry with the writ petitioner.
4. Taking note of these aspects, the respondents 3 and 4 are directed to submit their verification report to the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt thereof, the first respondent shall expedite the other formalities.
