Respondents in both Writ Petitions COMMON PRAYER : These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to fix regular time scale of pay to the post of Sweeper in the respondents Boys Hostel appointed as per G.O.Ms.No. 83, Backwards Classes, Most backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department dated 26.06.2012 on par with the Sweepers working in the regular time scale of pay from the date of petitioners' initial appointment on the basis of their representations dated 02.08.2019 and 18.02.2020 and 17.02.2019 and 18.02.2020, respectively.

COMMON ORDER Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
2.By consent of both parties, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Though the petitioners seek larger relief, at the time of arguments the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would be suffice, if the representations of the petitioners dated 18.02.2020 and 18.02.2020 respectively, are disposed of by the first respondent, on merits, as expeditiously as possible.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents would submit that the first respondent is the competent authority to pass orders in this matter and if reasonable time is granted to him, appropriate orders will be passed on the representation of the petitioners. 5.In view of the above said submission and also considering the limited scope of the relief now sought for by the petitioners, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' claim, directs the first respondent, to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 18.02.2020 and 18.02.2020 respectively, and pass suitable orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. 6.With the above observation, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
