ORDER
This petition has been filed to permit the petitioners to withdraw 50% out of the entire award amount along with the accrued interest to credit of MCOP.No.409 of 2020 dated 15-06-2024 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / Special Court, Additional District Court, Tenkasi.
2. This Court has carefully considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the materials available on record.
3. We are taking into consideration the grounds raised by the State Transport Corporation, wherein they have taken a stand to the effect that 2/4
there is contributory negligence on the part of the deceased and also questioned the quantum. Hence, we are inclined to permit the petitioners to withdraw 50% of the compensation amount deposited along with accrued interest. Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
