ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to change the investigating officer and direct any Deputy Superintendent of Police to enquire and take suitable action, on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 27.02.2021.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the earlier Investigation officer has already been transferred.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has raised averments invoking the provisions of SC/ST Act; that the earlier complaint was suppressed and that they have filed the above petition, seeking orders to change the investigating officer.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since the offence under the provisions of SC/ST Act, is to be investigated by a police officer in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, 2/4

Thanjavur Town, Thanjavur District, is directed to proceed with the investigation.
