ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground based on her educational qualification, by considering her representation, dated 25.06.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The case of the petitioner is that her husband, who was working as a Teacher in the respondent-School, while in service, passed away. Seeking compassionate appointment, the petitioner sent several representations to the respondents and the last representation, dated 25.06.2018. Despite several representations, no action has been forthcoming. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits.
5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.06.2018 seeking for compassionate appointment and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
