Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to conduct Drama programmes namely, "Sri Valli Thirumanam"and "Sri Sathiya Harichandra" from 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. on 07.04.2019/08.04.2019 and 08.04.2019/09.04.2019 respectively at Nallatharai Village, Vidathukulam Panchayat, Thiruchuzhi - Taluk, Virudhunagar District during the annual Panguni Pongal festival of Sri Manthaiyamman Temple with any conditions as may be imposed by this Court.

O R D E R

The Writ petitioner wants to conduct the events in question. Since they are held in connection with the temple festival, the question of model conduct does not arise. These events are customarily held during night hours from late night till early morning.

Therefore, while directing the respondent to grant permission to the Writ petitioner to conduct the events in question and while permitting the respondent to incorporate the appropriate conditions, this Court makes it clear that there will not be any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ restriction regarding timings.
