ORDER
The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 forthwith to take necessary action on the petitioner's complaints, dated 04.01.2025 and 24.02.2025 under the criminal law by conducting an effective investigation as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated as prescribed by this Court.
2. The petitioner entrusted the 24 carat gold ornaments to convert the same as 24 carat to the Suresh Kumar and also he paid a sum of Rs.9,39,000/- towards fee for converting the gold ornaments into gold biscuit. Thereafter, on 01.01.2025, he contacted the Suresh Kumar over phone to return the said gold weighing 103.440 grams and he assured to return the same on 02.01.2025. Thereafter, the said Suresh Kumar did not pick up the phone and thereafter, the petitioner came to know that he purposefully cheated the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a 2/5
complaint before the second respondent on 04.01.2025 but they failed to take action. Hence, the petitioner filed this petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the said Suresh Kumar cheated so many persons and they also received another complaint from another victim and they registered a case in Crime No.170 of 2025 and thereafter, the respondents issued CSR No.171 of 2025 and the same is under enquiry. They will complete the enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law in respect of the petitioner's complaint.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition and the complaints of the petitioner also under consideration by the second respondent, this Court recording the above said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaints, dated 04.01.2025 and 24.02.2025, within a period of one (1) week in accordance with law on merits.
