This criminal original petition is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.1/2008, on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on behalf of the State.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the First Information Report sought to be quashed by the petitioner, has taken cognizance by the learned Special Judge, Special Court of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Trichirappalli, in Special C.No.5 of 2016 and the said case was posted on 26.12.2016 for the appearance of the accused. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the above mentioned circumstances, nothing survives for adjudication in the present criminal original petition. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
