O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to third respondents to survey and demarcate the four boundaries of the petitioner's property comprised in Ayan Survey No.658/3A1, covered under Patta No.217, measuring an extent of 62 cents, out of which the north-western portion measuring 1,750 square feet (35 feet on the east-west and 50 feet on the north-south), situated at Koduvilarpatti Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District, by considering the petitioner's Application No.2026/0123/25/006873 dated 19.02.2026, in Page No. 2 of 6

accordance with law and after affording adequate opportunity to the parties concerned, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court, and consequently directing the fourth respondent to provide adequate police protection for conducting the survey.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been made for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the online application of the petitioner Page No. 3 of 6

dated 19.02.2026, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties and that if required, the police assistance may be taken.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
