The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent/The Tahsildar, Thirumayam Taluk and also to the Head Surveyor attached to the said Tahsildar Office of Thirumayam to survey and demarcate the property of the petitioner at Survey No.102/7 measuring 0.03.5 ares or equivalent to 350 square feet situated at Peraiyur Village, Thirumayam Taluk,

2. The petitioner had given an application on 24.01.2023 and had also paid necessary charges of Rs.800/- on 24.01.2023. The challan has also been filed as a document along with the records of the writ petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents stated that the application had been filed only on 24.01.2023.

4. At any rate, a mandamus is issued to the first and second respondents to proceed further with respect to demarcating and surveying of the aforementioned lands of the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent shall take care to issue notice to the adjacent land owners before demarcating and ensure that it is properly done in the presence of all the necessary parties.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
