ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to conclude the enquiry initiated against petitioner in P.R.No.08/2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that while he was working as Inspector of Police at Q Branch CID, Virudhunagar, he was issued with a charge memo dated 09.05.2016 by the second respondent in P.R.No.8 of 2016, wherein two charges were levelled against him, for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which, the petitioner has already given his explanation as early as on 16.05.2016, denying the charges. However, the enquiry initiated against the petitioner is still pending. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court, seeking the aforementioned relief. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the enquiry initiated against the petitioner will be completed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to conclude the enquiry pending against the petitioner in P.R.No.8 of 2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and as per law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
