Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct the dance programme namely "Adal Padal" on 19.05.2018 at 9.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in pursuant to the Vaikasi festival of Sri Kondai Ayyanar Temple situated at Ethanadu Village, Vamparampatti Post, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2018. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct the dance programme namely "Adal Padal" on 19.05.2018 at 9.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in pursuant to the Vaikasi festival of Sri Kondai Ayyanar Temple situated at Ethanadu Village, Vamparampatti Post, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2018. 2.Heard Mr.M.Suresh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Adalpadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
