ORDER

Seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 06.02.2026 in consonance with section 19A of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act), this criminal original petition is filed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint as against the atrocity on caste basis which he had suffered at the hands of one Mohana Priya and her family. However, no action was taken as against them by the 2nd respondent. police. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner has sent a complaint to the Superintendent of Police on 16.02.2026 and the same was forwarded to the 1st respondent on 24.02.2026.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side), the 1st respondent is directed to promptly initiate appropriate action within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
