Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Rathinam, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Keezhavalavu Police Station, Madurai District, is present. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.119/2017 under Section 420 IPC.
2. In the light of the law laid down by this Court in Dorand v. The Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil [2016(2) CTC 286], the prayer of the petitioner cannot be granted. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
