For Petitioners : Mr.A.Rahul (Both Cases) For Respondents : Mr.A.P.Muthupandian (Both Cases) for standing counsel for TNSTC COMMON ORDER Seeking a direction to the respondents to pay service surrender leave salary, the petitioners are before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.The case of the petitioners is that they were employed as Senior Superintendents in the first respondent Corporation. They retired from service on 30.04.2016 and 29.02.2016 respectively. Since their service surrender leave salary have not yet been disbursed, these writ petitions have been filed. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that this Court passed orders in similar circumstances in WP(MD) No.12720 of 2018 [K.Saroja Vs. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai) Ltd., Madurai] wherein, this Court directed the respondent therein to disburse the amount mentioned therein within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of order. Hence, the learned counsel sought a similar order in these writ petitions as well.
5.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection in granting such relief to the petitioners.
6.In view of the above, the respondents are directed to disburse the amounts as claimed by the petitioners, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
