PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Kida-Muttu Cultural event as part of the Birthday celebration of Honourable Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on 09.03.2025 at Elumalai Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2025 For Petitioner : Mr.P.Muthumangalaeswaran For Respondents : Mr.M.Sarangan for R1 and R4 Additional Government pleader Mr.A.Albert James for R2,R3 &R5 Government Advocate (Crl.side)
ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Kida-Muttu Cultural event as part of the Birthday celebration of Honourable Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on 09.03.2025 at Elumalai Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2025
2. The petitioner had given a representation to the respondents on 28.02.2025 to conduct Kida-Muttu cultural event in the petitioner's 2/5
village on 09.03.2025. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 4 and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law within a time frame.
4.In view of the above, this Court, without adverting into the merits of the matter or the claim made by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.02.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the interested parties, if any. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
