Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the fifth respondent to conduct the School Annual Day, 2019 either on 04.04.2019 or any other day without consulting and participation of the Parent Teachers Association of the School.

2. The writ petitioner represents the Parent Teachers' Association of the fifth respondent School. The petitioner's contention is that the fifth respondent should not conduct the Annual Day without associating the writ petitioner's organisation.

3. I am of the view that there is no statutory basis for making such a demand. However, I must observe that the School Head Master must have a cordial relationship with the office bearers of the Parent Teachers' Association. Any Annual Day without participation of the parents will not be a celebration at all. But, these are matters that are left to the individuals concerned. No mandamus can be issued as sought for.
