ORDER

The present petition has been filed to direct the respondents No.1 and 2 to accord adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and the members of the petitioner's Association during the eve of "Panguni Pongal Urchavam", which is scheduled to be taken place at Arulmigu Sidhi Vinayagar, Sri Kamatchi Amman and Sri Vandi Malarchiamman, Aruppukottai, on 29.04.2019, 30.04.2019 and 01.05.2019.

respondents.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that one individual is trying to hold out threat and trying to obstruct the festival with his associates in the private temple. 4.The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be duly considered by the respondents.

5.In view of the said statement, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.03.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
