O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner for cancellation of Legal Heir Certificate issued by the Tahsildar, Melur Taluk dated 30.12.2025 bearing No.TN720251215746.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the Tahsildar, Melur Taluk, has issued the Legal Heir Certificate dated 30.12.2025 for the death of one Mr.Dharmalingam.

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the said Certificate has been issued erroneously and therefore, he had preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 24.01.2026.

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal presented by the petitioner and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving due opportunity to all the interested parties. 2/4

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
