ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner herein, who is the sole accused in Crime No.21 of 2017 on the file of the respondent Police, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A) and 4(1)(i) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 30.01.2017, the police party conducted prohibition raid near Periyakulam paddy field and at that time, the petitioner was found in possession of 750 ML rum [two bottles] and six paper cups and it came to know that the same was prepared by using poisonous substances and based on the same, the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate for the respondent police. He would submit that the investigation has already been over and charge sheet has also been filed.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, by imposing stringent conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, subject to the following conditions:- (i)The petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each, with two sureties for a like sum to the satisfaction of the Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel.

(ii). The petitioner shall report before the said Court, daily at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.

(iii)The petitioner shall not tamper with the evidence or https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

witnesses either during investigation or trial. (iv)The petitioner shall not abscond either during investigation or trial.
