considering petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner, who has been issued patta in patta number 267 on 13.06.2000 sought for updation of the revenue records and issuance of computerised patta. The said application has been made to the third respondent on 20.9.2024. The petitioner seeks speedy disposal of the said representation.

2. Considering the limited relief that has been sought for by the petitioner, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate appering for the respondents.

The fact that the petitioner has already been issued a manual patta and the same has not been modified, cancelled or recalled thereafter, the petitioner's application for updation of the revenue records and issuance of computerised patta can certainly be looked into. The application, according to the learned Government Advocate, is pending with the third respondent. Hence, a direction is issued to the third respondent to consider and pass orders on merits, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
