Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to open the tenders in Package Nos. (i) TNSVG/01/SVG/TNRRIS 2021-22 (ii)TNSVG/02/SVG/TNRRIS-2021-22 (iii) TNSVG/03/KKOIL/TNRRIS-2021- 22 and (iv)TNSVG/04/KKOIL/TNRRIS-2021-22 forthwith and announce the results as per the procedure laid down under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998 and Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Rules, 2000.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to open the tenders, the details of which are given in the prayer of the Writ Petition.

2. Heard Mr.V.Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Veera Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Mr.Veera Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents has placed before this Court, a letter dated March 2022 addressed to the Government Pleader by the Joint Director / Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, Sivagangai, intimating the Government Pleader that the subject tenders were already opened on 18.03.2022 at 16.00 hours itself.

4. Since the tenders have already been opened, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has been achieved. After recording the statement made by the learned Additional Advocate General and after recording the letter dated March 2022 addressed to the Government Pleader by the Joint Director / Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, Sivagangai, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
