O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant permission for cultural event namely such as "Aadal Padal Programme" scheduled to be held on 24.05.2018 at night in connection with "Paguni Vizha Festival" at "Kaliamman Temple" Kovil at Thanichiyam, East Street, Ayyankottai Village, Madurai District.

2.Heard Mr.S.Ramachandra Pradeep, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Aadal Padal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
