ORDER

The petitioner /sole accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.12.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 7 & 8 of the POCSO Act as well as Section 351(2) of BNS, in Crime No. 49 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The petitioner is the husband of the tuition teacher, and the victim is a student of the said tuition teacher. The victim is 13 years old and studying in the 7th standard.

3. It is revealed from the statement recorded under Section 161(4) Cr.P.C. that the accused misused his position and gave two chocolates to the victim and misbehaved. Infact the victim has stated that she has preserved as evidence.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also considering the attitude of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 25-02-2026 KSA To 1.The Inspector Of Police, Awps-Kumbakonam Thanjavur District.
