PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act praying to punish the contemnors/respondents for the willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.1338 of 2019, dated 21.09.2019.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.] The petitioner has filed this contempt petition alleging willful disobedience of the order of this Court, dated 21.09.2019, passed in W.P.(MD) No.1338 of 2019.

2. Though the petitioner filed a writ petition regarding removal of encroachment and to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner appropriate compensation for destruction of his pavement, the relief regarding removal of encroachment alone was considered and this Court directed the respondents to take appropriate action for removal of encroachment. As regards his other prayer, this Court permitted the petitioner to agitate the same before appropriate forum.

3. As far as the direction for removal of encroachment is concerned, the learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, states that the encroachment is removed with the assistance of police force and that the order of this Court had been complied with in letter and spirit. The learned Additional Government Pleader has also produced the photographs before this Court and the proceedings, by which the encroachment is removed.
