O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Madurai to expeditiously dispose the C.C No.55 of 2016 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Madurai.

2.According to the petitioner, she is the defacto complainant in this case and based on her complaint, the FIR in Crime No.8 of 2009 has been registered for the offence under Sections 419, 467, 468, 420 and 120(B) of IPC. The complaint is of the year 2009, till now, the trial is not commenced. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the case is now posted for examination of witnesses L.W.1 to L.W.5 and the respondent police will co-operate for speedy disposal by producing the witnesses as directed by the trial Court.

4.Heard both sides and perused the records.

5.Considering that the case is pending from the year 2009 and also taking note of the fact that for the past nine years, the case in C.C.No.55 of 2016 is pending without any progress in trial, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, is directed to complete the trial proceedings in C.C.No. 55 of 2016 as early as possible preferably within a period of six months, from the date of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
