ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to promote the petitioner in the post of Assistant, based on his representations, dated 20.10.2016, 02.01.2017 and 25.02.2019 and consequently direct the respondents to disburse the terminal and pensionery benefits to the petitioner, in the view of his retirement on 31.05.2019. 2.Heard Mr.M.Pounraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.According to the petitioner, seeking promotion to the post of Assistant, he sent several representations to the respondents. However, none of those representations have seen the light of the day so far. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be taken into consideration on merits.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.02.2019 seeking promotion and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
