ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 07.03.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent, challenging the order of punishment of 'compulsory retirement from service' passed against him by the second respondent dated 02.02.2019 and the same is pending without getting disposal. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 07.03.2019 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, WMP(MD)No.6391 of 2019 is closed.
