O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct respondent herein to accord necessary permission on 02.05.2018 during the conduct of the Adal Padal programme at "Sri Bhagavathi Amman Temple" situated at Thirumanilayur, Karur District from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 22.4.2018.

2.Heard Mr.M.Bindran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Adal Padal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
