Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give promotion for the post of Road Inspector Grade II, as per the panel year 2010-11 and all other monetary and service benefits based on petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2018 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard Mr..D.Selvanayagam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

2. The petitioner seeks for a concise relief to consider his representation for grant of promotion. Though this court was inclined to issue notice to the respondent, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would satisfy if the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.

3. Without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
