ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta to the petitioner's property comprised in
Survey No.3713/2, having an extent 416 sq.ft. situtaed at Kombai Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, by considering the petitioner's applications dated 03.01.2026 and 27.01.2026, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of thereof. The petitioner submitted applications dated 03.01.2026 and 27.01.2026 to the respondent seeking Patta. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's applications so far, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's applications will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's applications dated 03.01.2026 and 27.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
