O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.329 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report to the Jurisdictional Magistrate within a time frame. 2.In earlier, on 15.07.2020, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that in respect of the case in Crime No.329 of 2015, final report has already been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, and as of now, no First Information Report is pending on the file of the respondent police. After recording the same, at the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directed the Registry to obtain the report from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam as to whether the final report relates to Crime No.329 of 2015 was received or not.

3.In this regard, in the letter dated 29.07.2020, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, has stated that in respect of the Crime No.329 of 2015, final report has not been received. Therefore, considering the reply sent by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, it is obvious that the respondent police has not filed any final report relates to Crime No.329 of 2015. However, considering COVID-19, it is appropriate to give one more direction to the respondent police to file a final report within a period of two weeks. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7036 of 2020 police to file a final report within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
