ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to survey the land bearing S.No.236/2A, situated at Keelakurichi Village, Tiruverambur Taluk and consequently, to issue a separate patta after subdivision in the petitioner's name for the housing Plot No.14, measuring to an extent of 2032 1⁄2 sq.feet, based on petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2025 as per sale deed dated 27.05.1996, within the time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and are in possession and enjoyment thereof. With a view to properly identifying the boundaries and avoiding future disputes and to obtain Patta, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.04.2025 before the competent revenue authorities. Despite the receipt of the

said representation, the respondents have failed to take any action within a reasonable time. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court by filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
