: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.22,79,016/- alone in 10 equal monthly installments along with the regular current consumption charges. Heard Mr.S.Sundara Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not able to pay the additional security deposit of Rs.22,79,016/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs Seventy Nine Thousand Sixteen Only) immediately, and hence, he made a request to the respondents to make the payment in 10 equal monthly installments. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
4.Today, when the matter is taken up for admission, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in an identical circumstance, this Court had entertained the writ petition and granted liberty to the petitioner therein to make the payment in six equal monthly installments.
5.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner is directed to make the additional security deposit in six equal monthly installments, they have no objections.
6.In view of the submissions made by the respective counsel, the petitioner is granted liberty to pay the additional security deposit of Rs.22,79,016/- in six equal monthly installments, commencing from 15th May, 2018. In case, any default, the respondents are at liberty to take any action as contemplated under the rules.
7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
