O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to conduct a survey of the land in respect of Plot No.27 in S.No.115/1A, measuring an extent of 3 cents, situated at Palangulam Village, Ramanathapuram District, fix the four boundaries by considering the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 18.01.2026 and issue a survey certificate or acknowledgment of completion of the survey within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted representations seeking survey and Page No. 2 of 6

demarcation of boundaries and is ready and willing to remit the requisite survey charges.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, is the competent authority to conduct the survey and demarcation of the petitioner's plot and that on payment of the necessary survey charges and after considering the claims of the parties, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the plot in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court suo motu impleads the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, as the third respondent. The first and second respondents are directed to forward the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 18.01.2026 to the third respondent forthwith. The impleaded third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 16.05.2025 and 18.01.2026 and subject to the petitioner paying the necessary survey charges, conduct a survey and demarcate the petitioner's Page No. 3 of 6

plot after considering the claims of all parties and pass appropriate orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court. It is needless to state that before conducting the survey, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
