O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the respondent to pay balance interest for the belated payment of Gratuity, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he retired from service on 30.06.2011 and he was paid with gratuity belatedly. Seeking to pay interest for the belated payment of gratuity, the petitioner made a representation dated 03.10.2018 to the respondent and the same is pending till date without passing any orders. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and appropriate orders be passed by the respondent.

5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
