Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to do necessary mutations in the revenue records by including the names of the petitioners in the place of Government Porombokku land for the land bearing S.No.97/4BA situated at Thanakarkulam, Radhapuram Taluk and consequently to issue patta in the name of the petitioners.

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents herein to do necessary mutations in the revenue records by including the names of the petitioners in the place of Government Porombokku land for the land bearing S.No.97/4BA situated at Thanakarkulam, Radhapuram Taluk and consequently to issue patta in the name of the petitioners.
2. Heard the learned counsel on both side and perused the records.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation/Monday petition of the petitioner dated 08.01.2018 and pass orders within a time limit specified by this Court.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, which is now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:
"The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation/Monday petition dated 08.01.2018 and pass an appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order."
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
