This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to grant permission for cultural event namely Aadalpadal scheduled to be held on 10.05.2018 at night in connection with "Chithirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Maha Manthai Kaliamman Kovil at Mela Street, Annanji, Unjam Patti Village, Theni Taluk, Theni District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2018.

2.Heard Mr.J.M.Jaya Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Adalpadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
