PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 28.04.2018 at night 08.00 to 01.00 hours in connection with " Chithirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Aagasa Mariamman Temple at Alapiranthan Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2018.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 28.04.2018 at night 08.00 to 01.00 hours in connection with "Chithirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Aagasa Mariamman Temple at Alapiranthan Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2018. 2.Heard Mr.E.Balasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

made clear that the "Adalpadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
