ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the Special Judge for TNPID Act cases, Madurai to complete the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.2 of 2016, within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Gandhi, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.S.Durai Pandian, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ submitted that the accused in this case also surrendered and obtained anticipatory bail and they were released on surrender.

4.A complaint was lodged and the case was registered in Crime No.5 of 2016, for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 460,120(b) I.P.C. and Section 5 of TNPID Act against the named individuals. After filing the charge sheet the case was taken on file in C.C.No.2 of 2016 by the Special Court, TNPID cases. 5.The case was registered against the accused persons, who have cheated 127 depositors to the tune of Rs.20,74,945/-. 6.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction: The Special Court TNPID cases Madurai, is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.2 of 2016 on the file of the Special Court, TNPID Act cases, Madurai and dispose of the same within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
