O R D E R

Mr.A.Rajkumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Ganesh Nagar Police Station, Pudhukottai District, is present.

2. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.278 of 2016, on 24.07.2016, under Sections 294(b), 420 and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code against Manikandan, who is none other than the husband of the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that if three months time is granted, the police will complete the investigation.

4. Recording the submission and taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the First Information Report and the relationship between the parties, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.278 of 2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a closure report or a final report, as the case may be.

5. This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with the above direction.
