This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to give police permission to the Adal Padal festival scheduled on 02.05.2018 at about 08.00 a.m., to 11.30 p.m., Arulmighu Mutharamman Temple situated at Paramankurichi, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2018. 2.Heard Mr.M.Jegadeesh Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

made clear that the "Adalpadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
