The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission to conduct the Kabadi Competition conducted by ''Puratchiyalar Annal Ambedkar Vilayatu Kuzhu'', scheduled on 13.04.2019 at about 08.00 p.m. to 14.04.2019 at about 11.00 p.m. in the playground, which is situated at Maradi, Turaiyur Taluk, Trichy, by considering the representation, dated 04.04.2019. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mrs.S.Bharathi, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the Parliamentary Election is going to be held on 18.04.
2019 and all the Police Personnel force are deployed for election process for the forthcoming Parliamentary Election and therefore, it is not possible to give permission to conduct the Kabadi competition, as mentioned by the petitioner, in his representation dated 04.04.2019. However, the learned Government Advocate submitted that if the petitioner prepares to re-schedule the Kabadi tournament after the general body election is over, it is open to him to make a fresh representation for conducting Kabadi Tournament and the same will be considered.

give a fresh representation to the respondent police after the general body election is over. The respondent police is directed to consider the said representation and grant permission to conduct Kabadi tournament, by imposing relevant conditions as per the District Police Act. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
