O R D E R

The petitioner is the second accused in C.C.No.38 of 2016, pending on the file of the learned District Munsif -cum- Judicial Magistrate No.I, Usilampatty. It is the case of the petitioner that he is working as Sub-Inspector of Police and that he is also facing departmental action in respect of the allegations for the same set of facts and, therefore, he seeks expeditious disposal of C.C.No.38 of 2016.

2. Heard Mr.D.Malaichamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Anbarasan, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent.

3. Mr.S.Gunaseelan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Usilampatty Taluk Police Station, is present in Court. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the charges have been framed and the case was posted for trial on 17.05.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Accepting the submission, this Court directs the Trial Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.38 of 2016, within a period

of six months from 17.05.2017, on condition that the petitioner co-operates with the trial by cross-examining the witnesses on that day they are examined in chief without adopting dilatory tactics.
