This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue Street Vendor Identity Card to the petitioner, based on his application dated 01.03.2019. 2.Heard the learned Counsel on either side. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The case of the petitioner is that being a Street Vendor, he submitted an application to the 2nd respondent, seeking for issuance of Identity Card to him. However, no such Identity Card, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
has been provided to the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition. 4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner now submitted that the 3rd respondent is interfering with the daily work of the petitioner. Hence, he prayed for appropriate direction to the respondents till the petitioner is provided with Identity Card. 5.The learned Counsel appearing for the respective respondents, on instructions, submitted that the respondents would consider the application of the petitioner and pass orders, on merits.
6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and also taking note of the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 01.03.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner.
